The Spall Boxing Pad / Taekwondo Kick Shield is a flat strike shield designed for straight punches, front kicks, and push kicks — the strikes that hit square-on rather than at an angle. Unlike curved Thai pads (AED 449) that are shaped for round kicks, this flat shield gives fighters a solid surface to drive power shots into. At AED 249, it's the most affordable Spall strike pad and the one beginners and taekwondo practitioners use most often.

Flat shields (AED 249) are better for straight-line strikes — jabs, crosses, front kicks, side kicks. Curved Thai pads (AED 449) are designed for round kicks, knees, and elbows that arrive at an angle. If your training is primarily boxing or taekwondo, the flat shield is the right choice. If you train Muay Thai with round kicks and elbows, go for the curved pads.
